The Group of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials of the University of the Basque Country is delighted to organize the next MTB meeting, to be held in Bilbao from June 30 to July 4, 2024.

 

MTB is a traditional bi-annual meeting that covers multidisciplinary research topics on Magnetotactic Bacteria, and serves to assess the state of the art, recent progress, and developments in this fascinating field. The MTB meeting was first held in Balatonfüred (Hungary), and since then has continued in Beijing (China), Berkeley (USA), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Marseille (France), Kanazawa (Japan), and Bayreuth (Germany).

 

MTB2024 will provide an excellent opportunity to bring together scientists from around the world to present and discuss their most recent results on these captivating microorganisms, covering disciplines as diverse as Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Biotechnological/Biomedical applications.

 

The program will consist on oral and poster presentations in an open and welcoming atmosphere, providing ample opportunities for attendees to engage in discussions and interact with each other.
